Radio Frequency Microneedling

There are many Microneedling devices on the market and it may be confusing why one is better than another. This blog will explain key differences and should help you decide which option is right for you.

Let's start with home micro needle rollers.

Yes, they puncture the skin which creates superficial injury. This produces controlled healing and thus improves your skin. However, they may not be properly sanitized before or after each use so the risk of bacteria spreading is high. In addition, the inconsistent needle depth may create more injury than your skin can properly heal, thus potentially leaving scars.

We do not recommend home devices.

At MD Boutiques we offer only the best so we use Radio Frequency Microneedling by Lumenis Legend Pro.

Radio Frequency Microneedling, or RF Microneedling, adds the elements of radio frequency energy to the treatment. Ultra-thin needles create micro channels so RF energy can travel to the underlying layers of the skin which causes constriction and tightening of the skin, as well as the stimulation of the production of collagen and elastin. Because the RF energy is delivered at controlled, predictable depths, it can produce faster and longer lasting results for our customers.

Lumenis Legend Pro uses the thinnest needles on the market so there is no bleeding involved. Downtime is very minimal.

RF Microneedling treats:

Deep wrinkles: 3 Treatments per year

Fine lines: 1-3 Treatments per year

Acne scars: Depends on the patient

Stretch marks

Surgical scars

Loose skin

Skin around the eyes: Excellent results paired with IPL and Resurfx. ! 3 treatments per year.

At the age of 25-30 we start losing collagen and from here on, the body will produce around 1% less collagen per year. When we start noticing weakness of the skin it is perfect time to start boosting your collagen by performing RF Microneedling.

Acne scars

Dr. Marsala recommends treating the area as soon as possible. We will first have to control any active breakouts.

Surgical scars

For most patients, we recommend to start the treatment 4-6 weeks post surgical procedure.

Stretch marks

As soon as you notice developing of stretch marks it is time to start the treatment. It is best to treat them in their first stage but we also can treat stretch masks developed in the past.

Treatment plans are customized for each patient. You can schedule a consultation with Dr. Marsala at MD Boutiques Med Spa by calling 719 282 7782.
